January 3-20...Snow and Winter January 23-27...Shapes Reminders: December 19-January 2...Christmas Break ![]() Book ParadeThe book parade was a success even though we had it inside because of the rain. Many parents attended this special event. Go to Book Parade on the Class Web Site below to see photos from our class.
Fire SafetyWe have been learning how the firefighter helps us and how to be safe in a fire. We learned to crawl down low in a smoky room, and not to open a door if it is hot, to "Stop, Drop, and Roll" if fire is on our clothes, and the importance of dialing 911. Go to Class Web Site below and click on Fire Safety to see more.
ColorsAs we learned about colors, the boys and girls enjoyed wearing specific colors of clothing each day. We wrote about each color and practiced reading the words together. Please go to Colors on the Class Web Site below to view the pages in our story.
Growing ButterfliesWe have been growing Gulf Fritillary and Black Swallowtail butterflies. Please go to the web page Growing Butterflies under Class Web Pages to learn more about our experience. Apple FunThe children did a variety of activites using apples. They counted apples and found the most and least amounts. They sorted apples by their colors and tasted different types of apples. They also made apple prints and prepared "Apple Smiles" for a treat. Please check out the Apple Fun web page under Class Web Pages below to see photos.
A special THANK YOU to BILO for donating apples for the children to taste. Also, I want to thank all the parents who donated apples and other items to make our apple week a success! Class Files
